Spring arived early in the Interior this year. Breakup started in earnest about 10 days ago, the first day with wet pavement on our roads. Lots of sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures, as high as 55 F a few days ago, have melted much of our below normal snowpack. So this year's Spring Fling was run on mostly bare pavement, and saw a number of runners in their shorts. A very large crowd of 63 runners participated in both races.

Stuart Grant edged out Allen Doyle by 12 seconds to win the men's 10K race with a time of 37:10; and Michelle Mitchell won the women's 10 K, with a 4th place overall time of 39:32. Brian Maine won the men's 5K, with a time of 19:43; Suzy Perkins was the women's winner with a 3rd place overall finish of 21:34.
