Fairbanks Run for Women

Hilly course, dirt road and trail.

It was a beautiful dry day and nearly perfect running conditions and
almost 40 runners and walkers turned out for the annual Fairbanks Run for
Women. The 6km course follows trails on the UAF campus with a fairly
grueling uphill near the finish that included the infamous "bicycle
bumps". All proceeds for this race go directly to the Fairbanks Breast
Cancer Detection Center, and nearly $500.00 was raised this year. Our
women were led by 14 year old Courtney Kisner (31.38), Amy Breen (31.44)
and Ellen Trainor (32.09). Thanks to all that participated!
