Creamer's Refuge Run

The barns and adjacent buildings of the former Creamer's Dairy, mark the start and finish of the Creamer's Refuge Run. The race follows mushing trails north and west of the site.

		After a chilly night, that saw clear skies and temperatures falling to -22° F at the airport, conditions improved markedly in the morning as skies clouded over. The temperature at race time was a moderate -1° F. And our lack of any recent heavy snow made conditions along the trails loose and soft. Stuart Grant and Eric Larimer battled for first position, with Eric crossing 3 seconds ahead of Stuart; Albert Attla finished third, 22 seconds behind Stuart. The first woman, Michelle Mitchell, was fourth overall, with a time of 34:17.
