Running Club North holds an annual meeting in mid-October with the principal objectives of 1) electing the Board of Directors, and 2) setting the Calendar of Events, both for the coming year. With the current pandemic, Running Club North will not be holding an “in person” annual meeting in 2020.

Elections for the Board of Directors will be held online once a slate of candidates has been identified. You can see the current Board members on our website.

After over twenty years of service each on the Board of Directors, Gary Pohl and Bob Vitale are both retiring from the Board. They currently serve as President and Vice-President.

Running Club North is actively recruiting new candidates for the 2021 Board of Directors. To learn more about the Board positions and duties, see the Board of Directors Duties page.

If you are interested in serving on the Board, or simply want to know more about what is entailed, please feel free to contact Gary Pohl by email at or by phone at 388-8085.

The Board meets once a month, and during the pandemic has been meeting by teleconference. Running Club North is a long-standing non-profit organization with approximately 300 members, which includes 189 Lifetime members. Running Club North is host to numerous events, including the Equinox Marathon, Usibelli Series, Northern Trails Series and Snowshoe Series. Serving on the Board is a great and fun way to participate in and give back to the Club, and work with dedicated fellow Board members. Terms are one-year.
