The RCN Board of Directors is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic. While we had all hoped that by this point we would have a more clear idea of how to plan for the upcoming months, we unfortunately at this time don’t. The RCN Board is following State and local health mandates as well as recommendations published by the Road Runners Club of America for guidance during this challenging time. As more information is released in the coming days and weeks, we are hoping it will provide us with a better insight on how to move forward for 2020 running season. The RCN Board will reassess the situation on May 18th.
As a reminder, calendar items have been temporarily suspended; to include non-RCN events that are published on our calendar, to help promote running in the Fairbanks community. The RCN Board of Directors strongly recommends that all race directors also considering rescheduling/canceling their events during this time. To inquire about the status of non-RCN sponsored events, please contact the race director directly.

Running Club North values the health and well-being of runners in the Fairbanks community and we appreciate your understanding during this time of unknowns and uncertainties. Until this brief moment in time passes, grab a buddy, hit the trails and/or road and enjoy these warmer temperatures, but please remember, keep 6 feet apart,  wash your hands and be on the lookout for “virtual” events this summer!
